ウィングローブ英語塾　武蔵小杉校: 2015年9月アーカイブdate

武蔵小杉校の講師として中学生を受け持って2年のＡ先生。
イギリス留学経験あり、毎年英国を訪れる「英国女子」（？）。
現在大学生の息子さんが当塾卒業生であるという縁で
英語を教え始めたという背景もあります。
そんなＡ先生が、ウィングローブの先生の仕事を、英語で語ってくれました。

I teach English to junior high school students
at a small private tutoring school.

It’s not only fun to give them lessons
but very interesting to know
how different each student is as an individual.

I can see through teaching them
how they relate to their families
and what they feel in everyday life.

It’s natural to think that learning another language is a useful way

to expand your horizons but I also think that you can use it as a device
to get to know yourself better in a different way.

You first have to break your thoughts down
and then reassemble them through this device　
in order to make yourself understood to others.

This process gives you more options for expressing yourself
in your own language as well.

It is nicer to be able to communicate in a more flexible way
because there are a variety of people in the world.

東京理科大に進学したＯくん。
この夏、2週間のフィリピン語学・ボランティア研修ツアーに参加してきたとのこと。

「5日前に帰りました！　英語のスピーキングも割とマシになったと思います！（笑）

でも、今回は貧困について考えたり学んだりすることが多かったです。
スラムには行けませんでしたが、
ゴミ山の街や火山灰で標高が10m上がった地域などに行きました。
教育に興味があるのでフィリピンの教育についても多く話をきいたんですけど、
やっぱり問題だらけのようです～。
そもそも政府の政策があまり良くないらしいです。
